Pros
I can’t think of many.
Cons
You’ll be given a salary and considered overtime exempt, but you don’t actually meet the requirements. You don’t have the ability to hire or fire anyone without permission from your manager. You can’t make any financial decisions for the company. Every “large” purchase has to be approved by your direct manager or the finance department. You’ll spend most of your time in the field instead of completing the administrative work assigned to you. You’ll be micromanaged and then yelled at for not managing yourself and time efficiently. They refuse to accept there are only 24 hours in a day and that people have families. You’ll never see your family and they don’t care as long as the work is done. They believe that not having more than 24 hours a day is an excuse to not complete the ridiculous amount of tasks and responsibilities they keep adding without any extra compensation. The higher-ups constantly talk out of both sides of their mouths. You can never satisfy their demands. They erroneously believe that you can create a positive culture by overworking and under paying their employees.
