First, I appreciate the honest feedback, and I'm glad it seems like your overall experience was generally positive despite the 'firing if you are caught freelancing' part.
I completely understand financial ambitions (as an entrepreneur myself), and have even been known to share inputs on freelance projects my team is working on. I welcome their trust, transparency, and aspirations.
What I don't welcome, however, is lies, deceit, and unethical choices.
For example,
- request WFH, make excuses, and moonlight
- refuse to take leave, embarrass the company with missed deliveries, and focus on their freelance project (where's the spirit in letting down your own team?)
- use company resources/work without permission
- make your subordinates work for what they think is Altorise client work, and instead, it turns out to be a private gig they don't get a piece of (yikes!)
I don't know if I missed any; thankfully there have only been a few bad apples. And if you did any of these, you'd fire yourself if you were in my shoes.
I'm sure if you stuck with us for over a few years, you don't really dislike us that much at all, or never did you think you were underpaid. I love that you said we care, I actually always have, and will continue to wish you the best.
