Pros

The vending machines usually worked OK.

Cons

There were a lot of nice people working there, but CEO David Pecker is a world-class narcissist, a probable sociopath and arrogant dim-bulb who often insisted on dictating the contents of certain tabloid covers despite the fact that those particular issues had a consistent history of not selling well. For further proof of his imbecilic nature, look no further than his pathetic, years-long insistence on publishing butt-lickingly sycophantic articles about Donald Trump, whom I'd call his soul mate if either gentleman could be said to possess a soul. Raises have been nonexistent at AMI for virtually decades, and for many years, with nothing for employees to look forward to but near-annual layoffs and the expectation that they would consequently be obliged to take on more and more responsibility and a larger workload without so much as a thank you from management, the work environment could best be described as a suffocating morass of resentment, fear and negativity. Kind of like The Walking Dead, but with flesh-eating kept to a minimum. The business as a whole is a zombie-like entity, for that matter. As tabloid sales steadily decline, year after year, it can only continue to lurch and stumble forward for a very limited time longer.

Pros

I know that the main office in Boca is no longer operational, but I did want to tell people that working in the office was fun to work in. I'm not sure how things are now with the change of location, but in Boca, everybody worked together like a nice oiled machine.

Cons

The takeover of AMI with the new group split up the office, including myself being told that I would not be moving to the new group. Oh well.
