I have been working at Amica for several years. Day in and day out I show up to work thinking things are going to improve because every time I attend a meeting in home office all they talk about is fixing the culture and improving the work life balance. Unfortunately, it's ALL TALK to pacify you in the moment; somehow the message stops at home office it never gets to the branches. Therefore, when you return to your branch it's the same old thing. They work you like a mule. They set unrealistic expectations and aren't afraid to crack the whip when they feel you have not met your goal. The company prides itself on delivering high quality customer service; however, the quantity of work that each person has makes quality nearly impossible. It's not if they aren't aware that they are spreading their staff too thin the problem is they don't care. How can a company focus on building enduring relationship with the customer but doesn't care about the high turnover of their employees.
