Pros

Coworkers - they're fantastic people to work with

Cons

- Management. If you report directly to the 3 higher-ups you're going to want to rip your hair out every. single. day. If you report to someone who reports to them expect that person not to stay for very long - the benefits are not great and you pay a lot for not a lot of coverage - be prepared for any complaints you have about management or even coworkers to go unheard or even dealt with. Nepotism runs rampant and if you go to HR to make a complaint about your manager it stops there. You're often pulled into their office to discuss the complaint and essentially railroaded into agreeing to a "compromise" - deadlines are impossible. When discussed with management and explained the reasoning behind extending the due dates such that we are not making cookie cutter packages they told us "I don't want to hear no" - some managers have a Jekyll and Hyde personality. If you catch them on a good day great! All your wishes granted. If not - be prepared to sit in a meeting where they ream you for things that they were not clear about. And then end the meeting with "you're doing a great job" - be aware that the three management "heads" do not talk to each other. This causes miscommunication CONSTANTLY. especially surrounding budgeting and rules. - for some managers you will also need to make sure you write everything down as what was said in one meeting may change in the next and it will be your fault for "misremembering" when confronted about this issue they will gaslight you and say "I never said that". When 4 people remember it one way and 1 person is disagreeing you know there's an issue - management is also trying to lock people in by offering them grossly inflated salaries. The flip side of this is that people now have to give 4 weeks notice for a day off and 8 weeks for more than 2 days in a row. This rule was enstated right after I left. Does this mean they're trying to make sure people have to give 4 weeks notice for a couple days just to interview at other places? Absolutely. This will make it incredibly hard to leave. But they advocate for "if this isn't a good fit go ahead and look elsewhere" - the last thing I will say is that if/when you decide to leave be prepared to leave the day you put in your two weeks notice. I worked there for 2 years and not one person (including myself) was able to stay the full two weeks and help transition the responsibilities over.

Pros

Basically none. Option for remote depending on role.

Cons

The design teams are run by incompetent people who couldn't cut it in a real design role so they ended up shifting their way into being hapless at managing employees, timelines, and communication. There is very little meaningful design-thinking going on here. Projects are completely aimless because this company is incompetent at getting information from the client. Likely because that side of thing is run by sales who don't understand how design works. The company could easily put someone with a brain in those meetings but they choose not to. The company owner pushes religious propaganda and pseudo intellectual business literature.
