Pros
The bonus plan is OK, as long as company makes huge amounts of money, and the formula will work to benefit the employees. They change the formula from time to time. Raises and promotions are HARD to get , and as a people manager, I had to play very hard to be able to secure a budget for my team's raise.
Cons
1- Multiple layers of management makes decision making very hard. It takes a while to even get an approval, etc. on key issues (hiring, etc.) 2- They always cry about low budget, ... 3- Top level management do not know about real issues in the company, despite the frequent updates they provide. 4- Even though forecast was positive, and they build a 1 BILLION DOLLAR FAB, they had a COST SAVING layoff in January that was targeted towards acquired Maxim employees. I think they wanted to clean up Maxim headcount after their 2-year legal term was finished with half the severance package they legally owed them.
