After I found out I was pregnant, my boss told me that she didn't know who would do my work while I was on leave. From then on, she went out of her way to make sure I had too much work to keep up with and micromanaged me to the point that I had no time to finish any actual work. I was talked down to, told regularly that my work was not good enough, and left out of workplace conversations because I wasn't a typical white employee that owns a cabin and went to the local high school. I had to take an early leave because the stress was affecting my health and my baby's health. I informed what was happening to me to HR and other leadership but no one cared. When I returned from leave, she made absolutely sure that I was not going to keep my position and abused her power by making me look like a bad employee and creating a narrative that I wasn't doing enough, and being disrespectful. This manager fired two black women in the span of two years. They say that diversity is a priority at this company but cannot retain their black employees because of the nasty discrimination that goes on there. This company is lucky that I don't take any legal action against them because they rightly would deserve it.
