Pros
I've been fortunate to work at a range of companies and company sizes. Anmut is the first place where I have felt valued and where I feel that I can genuinely make a difference to the organisation and the solutions it provides. It is still a start-up, so processes and products aren't fully finalised, for me, this is one of the many positives. You can challenge yourself and take on as much responsibility as you dare and develop at a rate that is not attainable at other organisations. Anmut employs people from a range of backgrounds and educations and although we know diversity is an issue, we have a range of different perspectives that approach client problems to provide truly unique and effective solutions. Another huge positive is that everyone is awesome, socials are fun, delivery teams’ band together organically and the leadership team have a wealth of experience. Everyone really does care at Anmut.
Cons
I think it's fair to flag the typical trade-offs that are part and parcel of working for a start-up, these are job security and lower base pay. Personally, I would say that the merit in skills acquired adds a lot of value to individuals personal development and outweighs a reduced base pay but it’s a worthwhile consideration.
