Pros

- Working from home is a plus - but the downside is the lack of support for issues that need an immediate answer - A fairly easy interview process

Cons

- Inadequate training for the role - I was put onto multiple live chats before understanding the processes - Minimum wage 'self-employed' role - so you had to sort out your own taxes, got no sick or holiday pay while also being on minimum wage. - They have the freedom to essentially fire you without any notice period because you're technically self-employed.

Hi, Thank you for your response and I am sorry you feel this way. Unfortunately, given that this role is a contractor role, you are self-employed. This is stated clearly to you prior to starting alongside laid out in said contract. We have business needs we must tend to so our hiring process of those that are contracted compared to those that are employed is always taken into consideration when making these decisions. There are pros and cons to being self-employed as well as pros and cons for being employed. Unfortunately, majority of your statement are the cons (in your eyes), of things that you didn't and/or wouldn't receive if you were self-employed. E.g. notice periods, sick pay, holiday, etc. I wish you all the best and would suggest that when you are looking for your next role to focus on full time employment rather than contracted/self-employed work. Thanks,

Pros

You get paid. Other than that, you won’t have any spare time.

Cons

You will not have any time to have a life. God forbid you get sick - if you’re sick, you will get a warning. Be weary. If you value your mental health… stay away.

Pros

A bit of flexibility in your schedule, as in, you choose it beforehand with time. Pay is weekly and on time. Computer issues happen and they're quite understanding about it.

Cons

A lot of the things you deal with isn't covered in training and you're pretty much stuck asking coworkers for help which is very troublesome especially because sometimes the only people that can help aren't around and messing up can easily end up costing the customer a lot of money, so you have to be very careful.
