Exciting company with room to grow - Client Partner Apex Fintech Solutions Employee Review

Pros

I decided to leave a big company in hopes of finding somewhere that promoted growth but didn't give up the big company feel. After my first year, I can say my expectations were greatly surpassed. Not only did you feel like you were apart of a large and growing company (free annual holiday party in Chicago, catered lunches, complimentary snacks, benefits and bonuses) but you also have the opportunity to meet and interact with upper management. For someone who wishes to put their career in their own hands, this company has everything you could ask for.

Cons

About once a quarter the company goes through a health push, meaning no Flaming Hot Cheetos for about a week.

Pros

From day one, it's clear this isn't a ticket-pushing operation. The work is legitimately complex and interesting. The team culture is collaborative without being chaotic. People across different areas communicate well and step in to help each other. Management is knowledgeable, accessible, and respects the expertise of the people doing the work. Onboarding was one of the best I've experienced - well organized and clearly designed to get new hires productive quickly rather than leaving them to figure things out on their own. The hybrid setup is reasonable: 3 days in the office, 2 at home. If you're not near an office, full remote is an option. Comp and benefits are competitive. Career development is taken seriously here. There are real opportunities to deepen expertise, and that expertise is recognized and valued - not just checked off a box.

Cons

Financial technology is a niche industry so the upfront learning curve is steeper - not insurmountable but significant.
