Pros
Pays competitively; allows remote working; flexible schedule. A company with lots of resources like Apollo can also afford to sponsor some of your own pursuits, considering they own a lot of subsidiary companies - for instance, at the time I worked there, they owned the Iron Yard, a coding bootcamp. If you have an interest in adding a skill set to your resume, then they can help you.
Cons
Very top heavy management and not enough development of their people on the ground. On one end of the spectrum you had out of touch senior execs working on outdated marketing principles and on the other you had new hires who didn't have the structure or experience to implement proper strategy.
