Pros
Great opportunity to grow in a manager roll through training and trial by fire. Pay is not bad.
Cons
No matter how hard you work to develop your assistant managers, underperforming locations will steal your people and you're back at square one. Don't recruit people giving them the false hope of some weekends off. Friday, Saturday and Sundays, you usually work at least 2 of those days each week, and rarely ever have 2 days off in a row. Vacation requests are often hard to accommodate for managers as its not just your location that you have to work around. Oftentimes people cash out vacations as a benefit to the employer rather than for quality of life for the employee.
