Pros

The people working here are genuinely nice guys, and the salary and benefits are pretty good compared to the market (good salary, paid broadband at home, private health insurance).

Cons

Unfortunately the cons clearly outweigh the pros; the market has changed but the company has not changed with it. The day-to-day is incredibly frustrating with no effort being made to formulate a strategy or set clear goals. Management are (and I’m quoting) asking the employees to “do the same things as always but better” which I think means “sell more and deliver faster”. No discussions on what isn’t working or how to fix it, mainly due to fear of conflict (better that everybody gets along rather than discuss difficult changes). The management team are not being held accountable for the performance, which in itself is remarkable, instead the operational people are being let go. In any other company held by a private equity firm the CEO would have been fired after failing to meet the budget and growth requirements in the last 5 years.

Pros

Working for a small Swedish start-up has many advantages. You have direct access to C- level executives, and following with Swedish culture, healthcare is provided by the company and the vacation policy is amazing!

Cons

None really. During mid summer holiday, communication can be slow due to mandated holidays. Yes you read that correctly!

Pros

You get a desk, computer and a phone. Lots of workload. Some of the colleagues are really nice. decent coffee. free soda free fruit

Cons

Leadership is mostly arrogant and micro managing happen all the time. You get no positive feedback from management if you do something that benefits the product or company. Negative feedback is more likely the outcome of just about everything due to planing issues and bad leadership. Employees energy and creative sides are effectively killed by management and office culture. No compensation for overtime. Also parts of the IT department seem to get turned on by making life as hard as they can instead of being service minded. You don't feel appreciated here.
