Cons
Despite the attractive financial incentive, the work culture at Aptiv is extremely demanding. Employees are expected to put in long hours regularly, which can lead to a severe imbalance between work and personal life. This sort of work culture seems to be the norm rather than the exception. The senior leadership team, including the CEO, appears to foster a very toxic work environment, where conformity seems to be valued over creativity and individuality. There is a noticeable absence of support or appreciation for different perspectives or innovative ideas. Moreover, while the generous pay may seem attractive at first, there is a restrictive clause in the offer letter, committing employees to a minimum of two years of service. The clause may seem fair in theory, but in practice, it can become a burden, especially in such a high-pressure work environment. Finally, there is a tangible sense of insecurity as it feels that at any moment, if you do not toe the line exactly as they want, they can and will turn against you. This fear does nothing but stifle productivity and motivation.
