Advancement Employment Schedules Remote Multiple sources

Cons

I worked for this company for two years. Last year, it was ranted and raved to join a department that the company was streamlining towards. I applied and did not get the job the first time. I was offered another interview and I got the job. The position never panned out to be what it was told to be but it was supposed to be a good move. However, since moving to this position I endured a major pay cut, odd occurrences with no regard for human life nor decency, to just about 2 hours ago unemployed. It’s heart wrenching because I asked constantly for about a month if something drastic was going to happen and would I at least still be employed, I was told from the director to my manager that there was nothing to worry about and I would be made aware if anything changed. Just as dreaded, a mandatory meeting was called, started late where we was thanked for our patience, to ending with being told we were without a job within a matter of 5 minutes. Meeting ended access to all platforms denied and that is the end of a two year stint with no offer to another position, no warning, no time to plan anything with the current state of the world. That’s the Aptive way!

Pros

CO workers and managers are generally awesome

Cons

Corporate are evil useless awful people who mandate ridiculous quotas, the sales teams over promises the aptive pro service whatever is garbage, the customers are furious because they were scammed into a contract that's trash for what they pay monthly. The initial service charge discount trap is awful. The expectations for techs are set so high by the wide coverage everyone gets but the service time is typically too short for effective pest control. The company requires photos of every account serviced and almost certainly sells the data to third party data brokers. I was hired for 20.50 an hour in NYS with 7 years pest control exp and license and my own business. After proving my knowledge and ability they refused to give me an offer I couldnt refuse. They want to exploit young techs with low wages and high quotas via intimidating micro management and metrics tracking asking us to service 14-18 houses a day. As an experienced pest control tech with several job experiences this was absurd. I was not incentivized enough to become a major team player with my exp
