NA - Trust Director Arden Trust Employee Review

Arden Trust is the best place I've ever worked. During Covid they provided us with incredible flexibility to ensure we were all safe and then when they brought us back into the office, they did it carefully and thoughtfully. It is so refreshing to work with like-minded people who actually care about our clients. (That hasn't always been the case - see "cons" below.) It has become a fun place to work. It is like working with family. I really enjoy my job.

To be honest - until about a year ago, I was looking around for another job. It seemed like my co-workers had become so used to working from home (and frankly, not doing their jobs very well) which put a heavier burden on those of us who were doing our jobs. Add that to my prior manager being very biased - she had her favorites - and her favorites didn't have to work (no accountability). Fortunately, she left and we got a great new manager who also brought in "fresh-blood" which has done wonders for our work environment. As I mentioned above - now people seem genuinely excited to be here, working together.

Competitive compensation and benefits. Opportunities to gain experience navigating complex or challenging environments. Some teams or individuals are genuinely supportive and collaborative, though they are exceptions rather than the rule.

Toxic corporate culture driven by ego, fear, and power dynamics. Leadership lacks accountability, and effective communication. Vindictive behavior is common and often goes unchecked, creating a hostile work environment. Minimal focus on innovation, professional development, or intellectual growth. Advancement often depends more on internal alliances than performance or qualifications. Key decisions are often made without input or clear communication, leaving teams out of the loop.
