Pros

The other sales associates were great to work with.

Cons

The owner is crazy. She will come into the store at random times and makes you drop everything to do whatever she is demanding even if it's super busy with customers. She will get mad at you over little things and will correct you in a loud and open manner when customers are there. If she does not like how you are selling items to customers, she will literally shove you out of the way even if you weren't doing anything wrong. She never apologizes for netting because in her mind she is perfect. She does not care about her employees. Employee discount is so low that it basically only covers sales tax on your orders. Customers can even get better discounts than staff. She promises commission on big sales, but there are so many strings attached that change without your knowledge that you will only get bout half of what you were originally promised (I was cheated out of a grand total of just over $200 in commission that I was told I earned).

Pros

I actually loved working at Artsy when I first started. The store manager and several of my coworkers became some of my best friends. We had a great time at work, and we did an excellent job soaring past our goals. We received discounts on products, and occasionally incentives on certain items. At one point, we got commission on some products which was awesome. That did not last long at all.

Cons

I worked there for 3 years and never once met the owners because they rarely came to our store (and I guess because I worked part time). When they did come on a rare occasion, all they did was make a mess and take a lot of our product to the Jacksonville store. How are we supposed to make our goals when you take our popular products???? I did not have the opportunity to go to the new hire training because I started before they were "required"...which, looking back, I wouldn't have gone anyway...I'm not driving 2 hours away for a training for a part time job. Upper management is full of catty women with nasty attitudes. Managers are forced to work well over 40 hours a week, but are only compensated for 40.
