Pros
Great culture, the owners and leadership team cultivate a positive working environment that is efficient, and certainly has a sense of humour. I love the collaboration that occurs between teams, and how open everyone is to share information. The concept that "we all on the same team" has never been truer and that is what makes this company successful in working towards common objectives. The portfolio of projects on the go and in the pipeline are diverse and extremely interesting. It is really fun to get to work on a variety of projects, from townhomes to mid-rise and high-rise buildings. This keeps the job interesting and certainly is not repetitive.
Cons
The company has seen exponential growth over the last year and we are working within some cozy office space. The owner's are fully aware and are actively looking to expand the space. The upside is that this does create for impromptu collaborative discussions between departments that could be lost otherwise. We are a young company, and as such we are still working through some processes and procedures. For someone who enjoys implementing these, such as myself, it has been a good experience brainstorming with the team on what works and what doesn't and creating a standard moving forward. The more experience brought to the table just means the more informed these procedures can be!
