Pros
I was a back end technical support professional, and I felt that the company takes care of their associates. Compensation is competitive, and the team morale in my area was very good. Company culture is very good, and associates are treated with respect and respect each other.
Cons
Teams in my area were insufficiently staffed, and I worked my tail off including providing a lot of off-hours and weekend support. Between on-call rotation and system maintenance and release work, I had very few weekends all to myself. Also, communication within teams, and between teams, is hit-or-miss, so there would be unwelcome surprises because you weren't told something you should have been. Awards are given to associates in other teams, but if you're a technical support grunt you likely won't be put up for any awards. Still, you'll be working with a good bunch of people and you'll get some good experience and mentoring from your teammates and your manager to advance your career.
