- Bumping into world-changing ideas and innovators every day! - Gaining a birds-eye-view of the global development sector - Building strong personal relations with trustworthy and resourceful colleagues/Fellows/young changemakers - A great deal of independence and responsibility is bestowed on everyone (right from volunteer level) - The best place to hone your entrepreneurial ability, leadership potential and personal wellbeing My personal experience has been that the institutions cares for its people and is with you through rough times. Although I know many in my office for whom this does not hold true, I believe that's because of individual differences and preferences of your manager/lead. The organisation, in its ethos, is more caring and flexible to individual needs.

- Loose on accountability - Teams across countries are severely understaffed - Though it's pretty decent for entry-level staff, manager-level onwards salaries are not competitive to other international non-profits in the social entrepreneurship space
