Pros
Travel benefits Quick exposure on airline industry due to the companies agility and fast paced momentum Lean structure hence you might have access to management (see below for cons) Flexible working time (8/9am - 6pm) Company has a good business plan, but management is questionable Loads of parties and cool office space
Cons
Work politics is massive and you can be sidelines/"retrenched" if you chose the wrong camp (no matter how diligent are your work) 24/7 on whatsapp and phone (thanks to Google Suite) and will be disturbed during on holiday or MC. Get ready to spend you weekend with a laptop back in your car boot as well. Going back at 6.15pm is considered 'early' The company believe in saying that airline is a 24/7 operation hence staff are expected to respond round the clock. You will receive a super minimal 'disturbance allowance' which in the eyes of the company is to ensure you are available 24/7 Line engineers are paid more and better compared to office engineer. Line engineers will take a considerable amount of time before being allowed to be established. Unless you are in good books of all the management. Growth is minimal to none unless you are capable of playing internal politics. You may (if you are not seen as a threat by the mid-management) have access to the management, but be prepared to be stuck in the same role with more job scope being added without any pay hike for years to come. If you have direct access to the holding company leadership/ come from a well connected family, then your salary can increase tremendously without even performing Loyalty is not rewarded here. Holding company has a tendency to hire multiple expats with high paying salary who usually only stay around for 2-3 years max before leaving for a better job. The loyal staff in hopes of climbing to a better position always tend to be sidelined and clean the mess that has been created.
