Pros
Efforts are made to provide opportunities for socialisation between employees. If that's something you value this will be a plus point.
Cons
High workload, disorganisation, and lack of effective processes all combine to create a high stress environment. Employees are often young and easily taken advantage of, underpaid and overworked but happy to do so for the prestige of working for a "cool" company. Clients are routinely mislead about the product being delivered and timelines. If you're not comfortable with lying to clients then talking behind their backs about how stupid they are for having too high expectations, you're not going to enjoy the work environment at Ask Phill. Turn over is very high, with multiple employees being fired each month. These employees almost always say they themselves made the decision to leave, usually for some vague reason like "finding themselves". No one is ever really fired at Ask Phill but you'll probably have to think about finding yourself around the time your contract is up for renewal. Senior management is more focused on creating the appearance of being a high quality agency to clients than actually putting in the work to make this a reality. There is a strong top-down approach, efforts are made to seem collaborative, but really you're meant to do as you are told. Senior management show very little curiosity at what would make their company better as they already seem to know the answer to everything, and love to pat themselves on the back for the incredible work they're doing.
