Pros

-A small company -You get to meet everyone on the team day one - You can see how not to run a company -Friday company lunches

Cons

-The owner is both their greatest asset and greatest weakness , many of the employees live in a constant state of fear worried if their actions may upset the owner so old programs made in the 90s are slow to move into the new era as everyone hides their actions as everyone besides the owner tries to bring the company into the new era . -DO NOT EXPECT TO HAVE ANY UPDWARD MOVEMENT -HIGH TURNOVER RATE - The owner thinks he knows science so he bans diet drinks and anything else he doesn't deem healthy while supplying the office with copious amount of sugar and artificial flavor drinks. - The training is horrendous and was made by someone who was far removed from ever being a new employee as its all very old material .

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We understand that your experience was not always positive, and we value your perspective. We acknowledge the concerns raised regarding the owner's leadership style. We recognize that creating a positive and supportive work environment is crucial, and we are committed to fostering a culture of open communication, respect, and collaboration. We are actively working on improving communication channels and ensuring all employees feel comfortable expressing their ideas and concerns. We understand that previous managers may not have always fully appreciated or understood their team members and their expectations. We are committed to fostering a leadership team that values open communication, provides clear expectations, and supports employee growth and development. To further improve communication and address concerns at all levels of the company, we have implemented weekly manager meetings. These meetings provide a dedicated space for managers to discuss issues, share feedback, and collaborate on solutions. This ensures that concerns are heard and addressed promptly. Regarding upward mobility, we understand the importance of career growth for our employees. We are currently reviewing our internal growth and development programs to identify areas for improvement and create more opportunities for advancement. You mentioned the turnover rate. While we acknowledge that some turnover is to be expected, it's important to note that a significant portion of our workforce has been with the company for an extended period. In fact, a majority of our employees have a tenure of over 5 years, with 30% having been with the company for over 10 years. This demonstrates a strong commitment and loyalty from many of our long-term employees. We recognize the importance of effective training and are committed to providing our employees with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed. In the last 6 months, we have hired a dedicated Training Coordinator who is currently working on revising and developing improved training materials for our staff. This includes modernizing existing materials and creating new programs to address the evolving needs of our employees and the company. Regarding the company's policy on beverages, we would like to clarify that the company does not "ban" diet drinks. However, as part of our commitment to promoting employee well-being, the company does not typically purchase diet drinks for office consumption. Employees are, of course, free to bring their own beverages, including diet drinks, to the office. We also acknowledge the concerns raised regarding workplace policies and employee well-being. We are committed to providing a healthy and supportive work environment for all employees. We are reviewing our current policies and will consider employee feedback in making any necessary adjustments. We value your feedback and will use it to continuously improve our company and create a more positive and rewarding work experience for all our employees.

Pros

QuoteWerks is a stable company that has been around for a long time. Many employees have been here for quite a while. The company offers great perks like quarterly bonus potential, free lunch Fridays, and no less than 4 companywide events each year. Leadership genuinely treat you like a human being and not like another number and it didn't take long for me to feel at home.

Cons

QuoteWerks does not offer sufficient remote work flexibility as the company has a 100% in office policy.

Pros

If you are OK with making a very low base salary, being micro-managed every hour of every day. This is the place for you. They rarely fire anyone, so if you are NOT a driven person and are fine making under $50k/year for the rest of your life. This is the place for you, underachiever! Sorry, this is the BEST pro I can offer.

Cons

The owner is an egomaniac. He surrounds himself with "yes" men. No new ideas/visions are embraced, yet the owner falsely "encourages" them. This company will never grow outside of their small bracket of 18 employees or so, mainly because of the insecurity coming from the president of this company. Sad, because they sell a pretty stable software. For anyone looking for a fun culture, strong leadership, great benefits, and good pay should AVOID applying for this company. My two cents!

The company appears to have grown since you left us. We have a number of employees that are happy here and have stayed with us for a number of years (18, 14, 13, 11, 10, 7, 5, etc years). I am sorry that it appears that you had a bad experience while working at Aspire. The Account Management position is one of our Entry-Level positions at Aspire. As such, it does have an entry level salary, but does grow based on experience and performance. There are even both call and performance bonuses. The position can be used as a stepping stone to other positions within the organization (when available). As an added bonus, all employees received a $3K bonus this year due to the tax policy changes by Congress. As far as the owner is concerned, yes, he is opinionated as most owners are. He does, however listen to ideas from his employees. Employees that come up with actionable plans are even rewarded. If an employee just has an idea that is obviously not thought through completely, they are encouraged to work it through. Ideas that are not thought through by the employee usually do not go much further for good reason. As far as John’s hobbies, he is an avid pilot and flies almost every weekend. Again, I am sorry that you appeared to a less than satisfactory time with the company. We wish you well with the future you create, regardless.
