Pros
Great mission, fun co-workers, supportive program managers.
Cons
AtWork! is located in Bellevue. No one can afford to live in Bellevue; which makes for unbearable commute times. The average salary to work and live in Bellevue is 72k according to the Payscale cost of living calculator. Median rent prices in Bellevue are $2500 ---Median housing price is > $800,000. Senior Leadership is completed oblivious and unwilling to improve the work conditions. The CEO and VP are unprofessional, uninvolved, and don't communicate. Weekly zoom update where CEO mispronounces fellow employees' names. Comes across as arrogant/unaware. Off-putting to say the least. Rapid turnover- HR quit recently, Employment Consultants quit weekly, and always understaffed. Work tends to be pushed downhill on to Employment Consultants to chase a monthly hours goal. Transparency, Training, and Professional growth opportunities are lacking. There is no upward trajectory for Employment Consultants. Undefined opportunities with no financial gain. Excessive webinars are heralded as extensive growth/training opportunities. a façade that gets old quickly. Program Managers are awesome but clearly overworked and one is completely clueless about services. Impacts felt in the employee experience The equity and social Justice movement comes across as contrived Remote work has you working alone often and there is no effort for staff engagement from the director or senior leadership level Dead end job that has you working below the poverty line for the Bellevue area. Senior Leadership loves to emphasize equity though.
