Pros
- Possibility to work with people all over the world. - Possibility to travel (depending on the division you are in). - Good starter wages. - Relatively open and flat culture between employees. - A lot of good people in the company (but they get demotivated).
Cons
- Overtime is often seen as "normal" in order to get your daily work done. - Not much left of the "Swedish" culture, people are claimed to be very important for the group, but that's all talk. No actions to show for it. - Huge differences between customer centers (+), distribution centers (-) and product companies (in between) in the way people are taken care of. The same applies for the divisions. There is a good and ugly side to Atlas Copco, the ugly side consists of buildings without proper fire alarms, no working heating and A/C, not following local regulations concerning people safety, insufficient cleaning and maintenance,... - Internal politics go above customer needs. Management looks out for "their own" and takes decisions for them, not based on what is needed by the customer or what takes care of the employees. - The open culture unfortunately results in no/low accountability. People can get away with anything.
