Pros

No, seriously. This company LOVES to party. I truthfully don't know how some people got hired or worked there for so long. Does anyone work?? There's been a lot of turnovers lately and everyone seems to know about who's getting axed before the person who's getting axed does. Bravo, ya'll. So let me start off with some pros: - Free food/alcohol (most times) - Holiday parties, out of work events/holiday events at work - Beautiful location (La Jolla) and a quiet, laid back scenic area to enjoy lunch - Benefits aren't too bad; 401k, medical, dental, eye, etc. - Some of the people here actually do work really hard, but not too many acknowledge it. - Parking garage pass - Free gym membership

Cons

Here we go: -Hierarchy: Upper management has the say in EVERYTHING. From the CEO to HR and other departments; it's hard to change ways or try something new because some people don't like change and will NOT budge! - Hours: hours are from 8:30-5:30 and most people only get a half hour lunch, meh. - Many distractions; from people playing games or talking/laughing way too loud - Pay: IF you do work hard, the pay is not that good. - Sucking up: I've seen this a lot at this company. Many people, women for the most, sucking up to Execs to try and get paid more or get to do "fun" activities after work. - Drinking: I can't say this enough, but this company loves to drink. You can find them at PF Changs or Red O slurping down a couple margaritas and then heading back into work....drunk. - Turnovers/hiring a crap ton of interns/temps: They hire a lot of interns/temps to basically get a couple projects done that they don't want to do and then send them off. Rarely any temp/intern stays and this is a HUGE issue when they leave because the departments need so much extra help and now have to work even harder to keep up with everything else. - My supervisor while I worked there was barely there. This was a huge issue because when I needed something, she wasn't really around. Communication with her was terrible.

Pros

Great people, events, and a strong work-from-home policy.

The acquisition by RPS has significantly changed the company culture and reduced the number of remaining employees.
