Pros
The head of global talent Corrine is an amazing person! She is a very good listener, constantly open to learning new things, gives genuine feedback and cares for every person she interacts with above and beyond expectations.
I was able to offer my specific skills and expertise with open arms and excellent synergy was quickly generated resulting in exponential productivity, despite constant startup and technology challenges.
All communication is documented and any tools that help the process are encouraged...e.g. Slack, Zoom, Microsoft teams and Sharepoint, Lever, email, and more.
In addition, the all members of the C-suite are easy to communicate with and very transparent, with specific kudos to the CFO for being accountable to paying bills on time, committing to promises, and supporting her people.
Remote first with no expectation for in person interaction.
Great products which are highly respected in the industry. Many subject matter expert employees. Many cyber security programs and community events.
Great compensation! Stock offered. weekly all hands zoom. Daily motivational zoom meetings in the Talent department. Fun is encouraged. I had the best time on our zoom meetings of any job ever!
Easy access to hiring managers for interviewing. Flat management. HR light.
Cons
Typical start-up stuff. I am a seasoned entrepreneur so I was prepared, but, If you don't have the stomach for a startup, then you should not try it anywhere.
e.g. Revolving job responsibilities, short ramp up time, wearing lots of hats, adopting new software, getting everyone to agree on objectives, Sudden Lay-offs, making it up as they go along, etc.
Inconsistent interview process.
