Working at Avanade was probably the worst experience in my career. The company culture that was represented to me in many, many meetings with their internal recruiter, and the position I interviewed for in multiple interviews with the person I would report to (as well as his boss and his boss's boss), were completely different on the day I joined--and not for the better.
This is a disturbingly disjointed company: the Accenture parentage, Microsoft relationship and desire to generate business independent of Accenture are responsible for a deep and ongoing identity crisis as well as a highly dysfunctional environment.
One additional note: Avanade is (was) highly autonomous by region; my experience dates to 2016 as a mid-level manager in the Northeast region. It is theoretically possible that other regions are different (and hopefully much better run).
