Pros
Avita Hospital is a terrific place to learn and make a difference. I transitioned from a retail/outpatient pharmacist to an inpatient role and found this environment supportive and fulfilling. We are small enough that everyone feels they matter and that their work is essential. Everyone's input is integral to the care of the patient. Likewise, we have the resources for staffing and education that allow us to expand our knowledge and skillset while working. I couldn't be happier with my decision and will likely complete my career with Avita Hospital over the next 20 years. Pay is sufficient and benefits are superb. The opportunity to earn PTO is fantastic and there is plenty of staff coverage to use PTO.
Cons
As with any organization, there are always improvements that can be made. However, the deficiencies in this organization are at a minimum. Avita is constantly striving to improve work conditions and communication. Communication is an essential aspect of any successful relationship. When lacking or ineffective communication can lead to misunderstandings, conflicts, and a breakdown of trust. Avita practices an open-door policy where concerns can be brought to management. I am comfortable bringing my concerns and issues to my managers within the department.
