Pros
Good benefits, Flexible schedule. I can't think of anything else but I must have at least 20 words in this area.
Cons
Flexible schedule not very beneficial cause if you take a couple hours to do personal things then you end up working more hours just to catch up. In all, your day never ends. There's really no time to stop so you work 60-70 hours per week not including if you work the weekend. The business has not been doing well in North America for the last 5-7 years and the recent sold of NA to another company hasn't made a difference. No changes have been made to make the business turn around. It's not attractive to join Avon as an Independent Sales Representative and the direct selling competition has a much more earnings opportunity then Avon. There's too many chiefs and not enough Indians. Corporate doesn't understand how DSM's do not have the right to tell an Ind. Rep what to do or what is needed of her to do with her business because she in Independent! So many great District Managers have left due to the stress, long hours, constant disrespect of their DVM and really no direction that this business is ever going to turn around for the better.
