Some of the people here are very talented and have great potential for success. Company culture and job titles sound good on paper.
Cons
High performers are rated the same as low performers with little to no feedback to the team on their performance during the year. Ambiguous job expectations and contradicting directions from leadership, if any are given. Growing pains and industry struggles have created a chaotic work environment in which team members are overworked and processes are constantly changing, sometimes difficult to keep up with. Supervisors get very little support from their leadership; there is a huge disconnect from the very top to the very bottom. A lot of promises made that are ignored or conveniently forgotten about. Management seems overwhelmed with the task of managing and unable to communicate, address areas of concern, and/or implement strategies to combat them. No one wants to take responsibility. Wage compression as current employee pay is about $10K below market. Pay structure doesn't make sense for job responsibilities, and even though a career ladder has been established there are no clear steps identifying the path or incentives that adequately compensate for the extra skill and effort. Most employees have gone a year or more without raises, initially promoted by senior management as temporary, but currently still without any further communication from said senior management. Insurance premiums are awful and raise every year, though is standard with most companies. The entire team has suffered from poor morale and leadership does very little to address or improve it. Retention seems to be a bit of a revolving door, and employees are hired as cheap as can be, which shows in work quality and motivation once identified. People come and go and no thought is given once someone walks away; we're all expendable at the end of the day. Good communication is almost non-existent between departments, from leadership, and amongst leadership, and the entire team from the bottom to mid-level and beyond can struggle with day-to-day processes.
