Pros

Great co-worker atmosphere. Low-level employees get along well and function well as a team. Occasional company lunches are nice. New building is okay. General atmosphere is generally relaxed.

Cons

New location is not ideal, as it loses power frequently, prompting us to work from home. The stress level is incredibly high. Mid-level manager frequently disregard suggestions and do not listen. There are certain mid-level managers misusing their power. They frequently yell at their equals in management and misuse their power to force other managers to clean up their messes. Certain mid-level managers can be verbally abusive to employees behind closed doors; you can hear them yell at "their" employees, using harsh language, using fear and scare tactics to "improve productivity" etc. Said mid-level manager also has been seen harassing other "employees" in an unprofessional manner; talking about inappropriate topics with the opposite gender, using suggestive language, and it has been seen that they even have touched the same gender inappropriately. You cannot say anything because everyone is related either by blood or through friendship. This person has been reported before, but they still hold their management position. There's no advancement opportunities unless you are "in" with management (friends or family). Salary growth is stunted, compared to industry average. Turn-over rate is high, meaning there are less qualified people that burden other workers. Training is also poor.

Pros

So at first, I thought working in southern Rhode Island was going to be horrible. Out in the woods with nothing around, but it is not like that. The office is right next to RT 95, I can hear the cars in my cubicle. I can leave my desk and be in downtown Providence in less than 35 minutes. (most days). Driving from where I live, south to Exit 2, rather than into Providence is huge, because there is no traffic. Lately, we have all kinds of different food trucks coming down to the office on Wednesdays, and we get to have great food. Housing is cheaper down this way and I'm thinking about buying a house nearby.

Cons

It gets busy. There is a rush season in the fall, but it settles out the rest of the year. Some projects need to happen right away so at times you need to scramble or work overtime (paid) to get it done. The lawn is still muddy, since this is a brand new building. it will be better when the soccer field and Volleyball courts are completed.
