Pros

If you're a yes man/woman, with a family requires work-life balance. This is a good place to be. As the flexible hours are as true as it meant. If you can speak Japanese well, you will have an amazing future here.

Cons

I'm writing this as an act of kindness to other developers who are thinking of joining the company as their reputation has gone down the drain in the local market, which resulted to only able to hire from overseas. I worked here for 3 years and I still speak with insiders after leaving, and nothing fundamentally has changed yet. Overall, I highly recommend you avoid this company right now because of your long-term health … Most decision making is not made in Singapore. The HQ will have the final verdict of all products, projects, budgets, and manpower. Your team can be told to do a prototype for pitch, however, it is meaningless because if your team manage to churn out a great idea. The HQ will immediately take over it and will be done by HQ. ( you will not even be thank ) If you're a senior level and above title person, your head will always be on the chopping block. Whenever there's a failed milestone due to poor planning, poor budgeting, and poor decision making, they will find a scapegoat to take the blame. Even though all planning, budget, and decision are done by HQ, you will be the one who takes the blame. If you're new and looking for experience, do not apply here. Most of the Senior skilled hire have already left. There are also no training programmes for the employees, they have been talking about it for years and nothing have been done. ( because most of the skilled HQ personnel are used to as firefighters in other emergency projects ) The annual appraisal system is flawed. There were employees who were even given an increment of $1 dollar, just show how ridiculous this system is. If your previous supervisor left. They will find a random Japanese HQ member who has communicated with you to grade your performance. If after all these CONS, you still decide to go and apply for this job. I wish you all the best.
