Pros
Lots of old blood leaving their positions means younger folk can get in to a spot that they could ride out with decent pay and relative job safety, and it might look good on a resume.
Cons
Virtually no challenge. People at the Liquor Distribution Branch prop up the company and say it's forward looking, progressive, and competitive compared to your stereotypical government setup, but it's not. Change of pace is glacial, older employees are apathetic and cynical, while those with the most potential are seldom recognized or rewarded, and the company could never survive if it weren't a monopoly. No will to compete or truly change leaves this a place where younger folk seeking change and challenge will be left to twiddle their thumbs and have under achievers ride their coattails.
