Pros

Unfortunately, the only pro is the remote work environment

Cons

Far too many to list. The highlights: constant bullying by management, disorganization, unspoken expectation to work evenings, weekends and outside of business hours and to practically kill yourself while meeting THEIR bottom line all without overtime pay, a lot of performative action taken to create the illusion of a functional work environment. You are replaceable and they will be sure to remind you of that. You are forced to account for every hour of your day, with detailed notes, on a daily timesheet even if salaried. And, managers are apparently coerced into being responsible for a subordinate's timesheet being done in a manner that minimizes overhead costs. I have never seen such blatant disregard for the rights and professional well-being of employees. You accumulate so little PTO that taking time away is next to impossible, and if you have the gall to request off days you have EARNED, you are met with constant pushback. They purport to be inclusive and care for all employees' wellness, but do not even have official maternity leave policies in place, in 2022. I would not be surprised if some of their practices actually go against labor laws. This is truly a toxic, horrible work environment that will slowly destroy your mental health. PLEASE, save yourself a huge headache and avoid this place at all costs. I do not plan to stay.

Pros

Working with BCT is rewarding: BCT and Health and Human Services are mission-driven. My every day tasks have real and long lasting impacts on children and families furthest from opportunity. BCT contracts support and expect collaborative partnerships that prioritize equity, inclusion, and belonging. Our team encourages systemic self-determined and sustainable changes that alter individual and community life trajectories for the better. Working with BCT is healthy: Our case loads are challenging and doable. My manager provides guidance and levels of autonomy that dignify my experience and capabilities. We have a hybrid work schedule that means my home gets more attention and my dogs get more walks. Sincerely - everything about working with BCT supports a healthy work-life balance.

Cons

No cons. Seriously this job is a life changer - all for the better.

Pros

I work on a federal contract on the West Coast & enjoy working with both my federal & BCT teams. Management - local & BCT corporate - are supportive & easy to work with. I was welcomed as a valuable contributor from the start. I feel BCT cares not only about my work but also my experiences with my team & the company. I've had several HR check-ins as a newer employee but was surprised to find those were not to evaluate my performance but for BCT to check if the company was meeting MY expectations! They asked what they could do to assist me in my role with resources, time & support. They encourage a healthy work/life balance. My local BCT supervisor is fantastic - a great communicator, so I have the information I need to do my job well & stay up to date on relevant happenings both with my contract team & BCT writ large. I enjoy the hybrid work schedule, having enough face time with my federal & local BCT co-workers along with great resources to be productive at home. I feel trusted & valued. I feel confident in leadership & management. The benefits are comprehensive & begin quickly. I enjoy working for BCT Partners very much!

Cons

I'm a remote employee & the distance sometimes makes it difficult to feel like a full part of the company. But BCT tries to do things that help us come together as much as possible.
