Pros
Parking is easy and free lunch/donuts sometimes…some nice people
Cons
1. They give you NO PTO. If you are hourly they give you 24 hours of sick time (3 days). And if you are blessed enough to get salaried you have to wait 2 YEARS before getting PTO. So basically they give you the bare minimum so that they don’t get in trouble. I’m sure if it was legal they would give you no sick and no PTO. If you are hourly you can do overtime with permission so you can work extra to make the money you should have gotten from vacation/holidays. 2. The work culture is not good. If you work from home they make you display your screens so they can see what your doing the entire work day. I constantly felt watched and uncomfortable around the supervisors. Make you feel like you have to be constantly working. I’ve been stared at and side commented on using my phone during breaks. 3. It’s a family run business so prepare for the nepotism. When the family work from home they don’t show their computer screens even though everyone else does. They also seem to take days off no problem while everyone else is made to feel bad for doing so. 4. NO PAID HOLIDAYS. They close the office and make you take it off and don’t pay you on top of that. Again they just like to get away with giving their employees as little as possible. They also give you very little holidays off….only Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, and 4th of July. But again, it will not be paid 5. If you want to take time off (unpaid for the most part since you only got 3 days) be prepared to ask multiple times and feel uncomfortable with taking the time off. I have messaged about having a day off, they agreed to me taking that day off, then when I come back the following work day the CEO (who I’ve spoken to 1 time prior) comes up to me and asked “where were you and why didn’t you tell anyone you were taking the day off” in the middle of the office. Very rude and taken off gaurd. 6. When you take time off for medical reasons they will probably ask people in the office what your doing and if your looking for a new job to try to get info that they can’t get from you.
