Working with the industries future thought leaders, to inspire a shared vision for the industry, to grow them throughout their roles with us, and to set them up for success on the journey through their careers. Having a platform to be able to design positions around people and watch them as they truly shine in roles that are tailored to their strengths but also designed to support them through their weaknesses.

Not a con, but certainly a challenge, is the dynamic world of hospitality and events. Meaning that we require people who are not only resilient but who embrace change and the opportunity to evolve. Staying still is not an option. The only way to thrive within our business is to do things differently.

Often many of the entitlements we get under the award get passed over and to be fair, there are a lot and I'm sure it's difficult to manage. Benchmarque really tries to make sure all of them are followed through - it's really nice to know that all my wages will be correct and I'll be looked after if I get injured at work etc. The new staff benefits are really cool as well - lots of retail discounts for clothes and groceries, movies and even fuel. Apparently there's free financial advice too.

I wish they had even more events so I could work for them all the time instead of working at another cafe as well.
