Pros

Family-owned company that truly cares for its employees. I have 20 drivers who are dedicated to getting the job done, day in and day out. Yes, it's a job that most can't handle due to dealing with dead livestock, cattle by-products, and offal. But for those who can, especially the union workers (drivers, mechanics and plant operations personnel), who have excellent healthcare, retirement, vacation and other benefits, it's a very good living.

Cons

Adding several more drivers, trucks and trailers would make a huge difference with giving the drivers more time with their families.

Thank you for your review of Baker and your suggestions. We are constantly trying to hire new drivers and we have plenty of trucks available for them. We likely wouldn't add new trucks until our current trucks are filled. It is a very competitive market out there for drivers currently, and at this moment we have close to 50 openings throughout the company we are attempting to fill. We always want to ensure we have ample staff available to service our customers and are always recruiting new people, our most important asset. Thanks again for the great review and suggestions.
