Pros
Fully remote, have a lot of disconnected days compare to most firms, and appears to compensate at the market level
Cons
Management does not make the effort to train their staffs let alone teach them technical skills. They rely on the staff to figure it out on their on and leave vague review comments and have the staff to figure things within a timely budgeted manager. In turn, the audit quality at this firm is not good compare to other firms. Furthermore, this is one by far the toxic form I’ve worked at. Granted that public accounting itself is not for everyone, however, the culture of this firm, is where management/director only care for themselves and their client, without respecting the jobs that are actually scheduled on the staff. I was working another round of busy season after your normal Jan-may busy season and management/director by no means respected my time with clients that are within my schedule and have a strict 10/15 deadline. Management/director even made threats that they will review my time sheets and told me the managing partner will have the managing partner of my office review my timesheets as well and will further discuss. Staffs here are treated nothing but another 5k salary person instead of being well respected teammmate. There are no good leadership at this firm. You are better off working at big 4 than here.
