Pros

Only the training was good.

Cons

I had one of the worst professional experiences working at Bambino. The work culture is deeply toxic, with a lack of basic respect, transparency, and accountability. There is poor communication from leadership, unrealistic expectations, and no regard for employee well-being. Micromanagement by Managers and favoritism are rampant, making it hard to grow or feel valued.

Pros

Walkie talkie for communication. Child-centred. Cubbies inside the classroom. The staff room isn't too cramped.

Cons

Open room, very loud if a child cried you could hear it throughout the centre. Too many staff meetings and have to stay late till night on weekday, every month. Lots of loose parts that were not age-appropriate for smaller age groups. No overtime pay, only banked hours. Triple ratio rooms, rooms had 18 toddlers, and older rooms have almost 30 kids. There are three staff but that number of kids in one space is very overwhelming for every educator. Younger room educators have to do 18 diaper changes. Older room educators have too constantly ask kids to be very quiet during nap times because the place is open so sound travels everywhere. They have half doors so older toddlers can run off easily if they want to and no doors at all in OSC rooms.

Pros

It’s a pretty place and they had PD days regularly.

Cons

Upper management was incredibly out of touch. They made little to no changes when staff would bring up concerns, and then seemed shocked and confused when people were quitting every week. Managers were constantly rotating children to different rooms to stay in ratio and it stressed the children out. The walls don’t reach the ceiling so the rooms are all connected and nap time is a nightmare. Multiple children with exceptionalities (who actually became violent sometimes) in one room so teachers were always busy with those children and had no time for the rest.
