Pros

I love working with talented people and BambooHR has that in spades! If I’m in a meeting or having a work conversation, I know I have to been creative and give my best. Being challenged on this level every day is refreshing and I love my job. I know the other people on my team have my back and they are ready and willing to give their best to help me be successful and achieve my goals. I've never seen an Executive team who measures success by more than just the bottom line. They genuinely care about individuals and want each team member to succeed in their role. It’s always fun to watch new people join the team and see their reactions as Executives stop by and say hi or strike up a conversation in the hall. I was chatting with a new hire asking how they liked their job and the team and she mentioned that the CEO was talking with her in the hall and she didn’t know what to do. We both laughed and I told her that’s just how he is, a real person.

Cons

For me this is actually a pro and not a con but you'll be asked to stretch and grow. Change can be very hard for individuals but everyone is very supportive as you take on challenges in your work and how you work with others.

Pros

At the end of my tenure, I really have no pros.

Cons

I'm pretty sure I was "quietly laid off", in the effort of sneaky downsizing without having to actually do formal layoffs. This place was a godsend and a great place to work on my small independent team, and I did great. Then they did massive restructuring, added layers of hierarchy, added process, and basically just starting running a creative team like a line of factory workers. I had a horrible time with my manager on so many different levels, and felt validation when others would reflect the same, but I reflect what everyone else says - narcissistic, micro managing leadership that I now understand play manipulation games. I was put on a performance improvement plan and finally quit due to burnout, stress, and the dissolution of a role and a team that I had from before. They constantly push for solutions and deliverables, but I never really saw anything I delivered actually get treated and implemented with respect. Company policies and siloed team policies and procedures stymie actual effectiveness, and it seems like the leadership acts as your strict grade school teacher rather than having your back.
