Pros

A great amount of trust is given from co-founders and management which fosters a very pleasant work environment. That kind of autonomy here works because everyone seems to have great work ethic and a passion to be great at their jobs. Product is incredibly user-friendly and well designed. There is a deeply ingrained culture of providing fantastic customer support. These things combined have led to the product having a great name in the industry which seems to be organically growing itself. In addition to this, the marketing team here is amazing and super involved with the lead gen and sales process all the way through. Promising growth going forward. People here are awesome. Across all departments, Bambooligans have been extremely warm and friendly from day one. Everyone seems to be working together as a whole in accomplishing goals. You feel that everyone has your back here, which you naturally want to reciprocate. This in my opinion, is one of the greatest factors that makes it such a wonderful culture here.

Cons

It's obviously not perfect, fast growth and transitioning from start-up means some growing pains and changes in systems and processes sometimes. However, the encouragement to be transparent and contribute advice and best practices turns that into an opportunity for individual growth and development.

Pros

At the end of my tenure, I really have no pros.

Cons

I'm pretty sure I was "quietly laid off", in the effort of sneaky downsizing without having to actually do formal layoffs. This place was a godsend and a great place to work on my small independent team, and I did great. Then they did massive restructuring, added layers of hierarchy, added process, and basically just starting running a creative team like a line of factory workers. I had a horrible time with my manager on so many different levels, and felt validation when others would reflect the same, but I reflect what everyone else says - narcissistic, micro managing leadership that I now understand play manipulation games. I was put on a performance improvement plan and finally quit due to burnout, stress, and the dissolution of a role and a team that I had from before. They constantly push for solutions and deliverables, but I never really saw anything I delivered actually get treated and implemented with respect. Company policies and siloed team policies and procedures stymie actual effectiveness, and it seems like the leadership acts as your strict grade school teacher rather than having your back.
