Pros

Career Development Opportunities: BankVic genuinely invests in its people. They offer clear pathways for professional growth and regularly invest in training programs for staff. Employee Input is Valued: As a smaller bank employees are encouraged to contribute ideas for process improvements, it’s rewarding to see those ideas implemented in real ways that improve outcomes for both staff and members. Community Focus: As a mutual bank with strong ties to police, emergency services, and healthcare sectors, BankVic actively supports community involvement. Staff are encouraged to participate in local initiatives and are offered two volunteering days per year. Flexible Working Arrangements: Work-life balance is well supported through flexible working options.

Cons

Systems: As a smaller bank, some of BankVic’s systems are currently outdated. However, the business is actively working on continuous improvement in this area. This has given me the opportunity to be part of important transformation programs, which has allowed me to further develop my skills and contribute to meaningful change.
