I have worked for Barclay Communications for almost 17 years. I started working here when I had just turned 20 years of age. The reason I am writing this review was a 19 year old friend of my family went onto this site to get an idea of what it would be like working here and saw some of the recent reviews and decided not to apply. After reading them I decided I would take time to share my experience. Firstly no one has asked for this review to be written, I am happy to say I managed to think of this all by myself because in this day and age you have to be proud of where you work and have a level of loyalty towards it otherwise why not change Jobs? I have spent most of my adult life working for this company and like every Job (as i did have others before this leaving school at 17) it has its up's and down's. Some days are more challenging than others but that is what being part of a work force is all about. For anyone considering a career in service or sales in Belfast would be making a mistake not to consider Barclay Communications, the amount of friends and colleagues I have with 10+ years tenure in the company speaks volumes. I am not in management as I enjoy the sales aspect and always will, and having left school at 17 without the likes of a degree the opportunity to earn an above average wage at Barclay communications is extremely high, to be honest the harder you work the sky is the limit. Another point i have to mention is allot of us original staff members are self taught sales people and have adapted and mastered our craft over many years. This does not need to be the case for future staff as the training and support in place now is second to none where you can fast track through the process. This is a family run business and I can speak from honest experience even as recent as this month when i suffered a loss in my family those values are still held true today, I can also think of many others. for anyone thinking of changing Jobs or looking to start your journey like i did at 20 years old this is a solid company with great opportunities and prospects and a overall a great place to work.
