Pros
There is a reason Barge has been certified a "Great Place to Work" for 2 years in a row. This is a great company that gives its employees opportunity to purchase stock, has given raises and bonuses every year I have been here, and helps with retirement plans. The health benefits program is great and offers discounts and incentives for doing well with your health. Barge really cares about its employees’ health by having these incentives but also by bringing in others to help and teach about healthier living. Barge's new headquarters building is in a great location. The building is awesome with great collaborative spaces as well as over 10 conference rooms, a wellness room, many coffee bars throughout, a great break area with access to outdoors, a workout room, free parking for employees and guests, a bicycle storage area, showers, a 2 story atrium for company wide announcements and so many more great features. I love working here. Barge also has an annual stock holders meeting and banquet every year. It is a great opportunity to meet other employees face to face from difference offices, hear our CEO speak on a topic that is always very inspiring, and get rewarded for the years of service each employee has given. The work / life balance is also very stable with little mandatory overtime. Barge also has a flex schedule that is beneficial when life happens. There are many employee based groups so that employees do have a voice in Barge. Everyone is very nice and I really enjoy working here. Lastly, I appreciate that for large company wide events we pray before the meal. It just says something to me about the integrity of Barge.
Cons
Communication on deadlines could improve from project managers.
