Pros
Mass Mutual backstop is the only reason Barings still exists. As a stand alone company, would not have made it.
Cons
Leadership flies to London to promote their vision, mission and values. This includes ESG, digital transformation and DEI. Has been said before but we clearly saw most of this leadership rank composed of white men, save for the very nice DEI person. Just inward backward thinking which is all talk and no action. Or as you say in America, all hat no horse. Then on digital transformation, no one from Technology was present. Actually no one from technology is even on the leadership team, yet we are told how important this digitization effort is. Bravo!
