Pros

A work from home sales job with a lot of autonomy. You create your own schedule/route and can get what you want from the job depending on how much effort you put in. Management style varies with market but if you are doing your job there is nothing to be upset about.

Cons

This is a sales job and they expect you to sell but pay you like a service rep. Very little opportunity to make decent money in your first 10 years compared to other sales jobs. If you have a large territory and are straight commission is the exception to the low pay but not many last that long.

Not all companies are perfect, but Barnes gave the right amount of tools work and build a business.

Pros

Regional managers were empowered to make important decisions while managing their territory and sales reps. Good pay, good company overall until things changed

Cons

With the acquisitions over the years, came a reduction in the ability to make vital decisions for your territory, as well as having to ask permission to buy airline tickets, and spend money to travel and manage your territory.
