After noticing poor air quality I repeatedly asked about ventilation to the HS exec (main manager and the embodiment of apathy) and other managers.
Only when finding an engineer had I managed to get the problem looked into and solved.
They had not bothered to order the parts for the dust vents- which accumulated 10000kg of various.
It sounds like a lot, I had to ask him again if that's what was meant by 10 tonnes and from what I heard the air con was left like it for months Either way- even without the vent issue. you can see the cm thick spices surrounding the rooms that you have to work in.
Useless mask provided.
Not safe.
Precautionary measures could be taken and steps made to solve the problem of these frequent, often daily dust clouds by adding enclosures to the machine but another company that simply doesn't actually care about staff health presumably because they are people who lack empathy and ability to think. The office upstairs has plenty of clean air going in though and they never go down stairs -perhaps for 5 minutes- so of course they can't feel it on their chest.
Also no daylight.
Machines break down unnecessarily.
Nice colleagues. Some miserable/rude ones. Good pay. But health more important.
Oh and stupid breaks. Spend half of it walking to canteen with hard chairs.
