Pros
Discount on store products and products from other companies that they own such as Victoria's Secret. The small store allowed me to get close to a lot of the co-workers, who I have become great friends with.
Cons
Upper management are selfish. Some of the managers I've worked with schedule hard working sales associates and make them work the sales floor, while they 1) snack in the back room, 2) pretend to do paper work, 3) stock - not part of their job description or 4) go in the restroom for 20 minutes to talk on the phone. When the segment looks great, they say thank you. But, the credit goes to them, not you. And when the segment looks bad, they blame you for it. Hard to get a promotion when you work with unfair, selfish, and corrupt management. They will NOT promote from within the store if you do well because they want you to do well under their segment. In order to be under their segment, you have to maintain a Sales Associate title.
