Pros
BaubleBar offers an employee discount on jewelry, which is a nice perk. There is also some opportunity to collaborate with different teams across the company, which can help you gain experience in a fast-paced environment. However, these positives are overshadowed by several issues within the company.
Cons
Working at BaubleBar was one of the most stressful and demoralizing experiences of my career. The cofounder was heavily involved in day-to-day operations but in the worst way possible—micromanaging every small detail, constantly shifting priorities, and creating a culture of fear and instability. Rather than trusting employees to do their jobs, leadership hovered over every decision, nitpicking work while offering little clear direction. Feedback was often contradictory, unrealistic, or delivered in an unprofessional manner. There was no sense of psychological safety, and employees were expected to tolerate erratic behavior as just part of the job. The result? A chaotic, draining environment where people were burned out and undervalued. If you’re looking for a workplace with strong leadership, trust, and respect for employees, I’d strongly reconsider.
